Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, Mr.M.Muthupandi, Special Sub-Inspector of Police, Kadupatti Police Station, Madurai District, is present. On instructions, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) submitted that on the complaint given by one Ganesan, the second respondent herein, a regular case in Crime No.88 of 2017 has been registered against the petitioner on 09.03.2017 for offences under Sections 406, 420 and 294(b) of the Indian Penal Code.
2. In view of the above, the prayer as sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted, in the light of the law laid down by this Court in Dorand v. The Superintendent of Police, Nagercoil [2016(2) CTC 286]. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to work out her remedies in the manner known to law.
