ORDER

It is an application seeking a direction to the respondents to provide adequate Police protection to the Infant Jesus College Engineering, functioning at Tirunelveli - Thoothukudi National Highway (NH-7A), Kamarajar Nagar, Keela Vallanadu, Thoothukudi District - 628 851, based on the petitioner's representation dated 20.07.2016.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the respondents. By consent, the Criminal Original Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that due to civil dispute, the opponents of the petitioners along with their henchmen trespassed into the college and threatened the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

students and staff of the college with dire consequences; the students are in panic; sufficient protection has to be offered to the college campus in order to ensure safety and security of the students and staff of the college; therefore, anticipating danger, the petitioner has given a representation dated 20.07.2016 to the respondents; as there was no response to the same, the petitioner has come up with this petition. The learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, gave an assurance that the petitioner is ready to make necessary payment which are lawfully payable. 4.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that the second respondent would consider the representation of the petitioner dated 20.07.

2016 and pass appropriate orders positively, as safety and security of the students community is involved in this matter. 5.In view of the above submission made by the learned Government Advocate, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 20.07.2016 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law forthwith. 6.This Criminal Original Petition is accordingly disposed of.
