ORDER

The Writ Petition is filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to settle the petitioner's husband's family pension and other pensionary benefits with interest in the revised scale of pay.

2. Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner, learned Standing Counsel, who takes notice for the first respondent and the learned Counsel, who takes notice for the second respondent. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3. The case of the petitioner is that her husband worked in the first respondent and retired from service. Thereafter, he died on 10.06.2010. The grievance of the petitioner is that her husband's pensionary benefits were not settled by the first respondent. Hence, the petitioner made a representation to the first respondent on 29.05.2017. considered so far. Therefore, the petitioner has approached this Court by filing this Writ Petition.

4. The learned Counsel appearing for the first respondent submitted that the representation of the petitioner would be considered by the first respondent on merits, within a time frame as fixed by this Court.

5. Considering the nature of the relief sought for by the petitioner, without going into the merits of the case, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 29.05.2017 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. The Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
