ORDER

The petitioner seeks for a direction to the first respondent to transfer the investigation in Crime No. 2160 of 2023 dt. 05.09.2023 on the file of the 3rd respondent police to some other impartial investigating agency.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate, on instructions, would submit that the investigation is completed and a final report in CC No.41 of 2026 has been filed before the learned District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Srirangam and hence, nothing survives for further adjudication.

3. In view of the same, this Criminal Original Petition is closed. However, the District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Srirangam is directed to expedite the trial as early as possible preferably within a period of one year from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 20.01.2026 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No Sm 2/4
