ORDER
The Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents Nos.1 to 3 to dispose of the petitioner's application dated 12.02.2007, in the light of office memorandum dated 09.01.2007 for providing employment under the compassionate ground within a stipulated time as fixed by this Court.
2. Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel, who takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
3. The case of the petitioner is that his father viz., Velayudham was working in the respondents Board as Inspector of Assessment and he died on 27.10.1990, while he was in service. Hence, the petitioner has made representation/application on https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
12.02.2007 to the respondents, seeking compassionate appointment. Since the same has not been considered so far, the petitioner is before this Court by filing this Writ Petition.
4. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the representation of the petitioner would be considered by the respondents on merits within a stipulated time as fixed by this Court.
5. Considering the limited nature of the relief sought for by the petitioner, without going into the merits of the case, the respondents are directed to consider the representation/application of the petitioner dated 12.02.2007 seeking compassionate appointment, if there are no other legal impediments and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. The Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
