This writ petition has been filed seeking the issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 05.02.2026 and consequently, to cancel the Patta No.239 wrongly standing in the name of Shanmuganathan, S/o Velandi and mutate Patta in respect of Survey Nos. 418/2B1 and 418/4A, situated at V. Muthulingapuram Village, Virudhunagar District in the name of the petitioner.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties and perused the materials available on record.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of respondents submitted that the first respondent will consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation in accordance with law.

4. In view of the above submission, without going into the merits of the matter, this Court directs the first respondent to consider and 2/4

dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 05.02.2026 after conducting an inquiry, which shall include issuing notice to the petitioner and any other persons who may be affected and considering any objections submitted by them. The first respondent shall thereafter pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
