ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the second respondent police not to harass the petitioner and his family members under the guise of the enquiry by way of interfering money dispute between the petitioner and the third respondent.

According to the petitioner, there is a money dispute pending between the petitioner and the third respondent and based on the same, the third respondent lodged a complaint before the second respondent. Taking advantage of the same, the second respondent harassed the petitioner to appear for enquiry and to settle the matter. Therefore, the petitioner filed this petition. 2/5

The learned Counsel appearing for the third respondent would submit that the petitioner being the Government servant without any license conducted unauthorized chit and real estate business and thereby, cheated so many persons. Hence, the third respondent lodged a complaint before the second respondent and the same is now under enquiry.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the official respondents would submit that the third respondent lodged a complaint against the petitioner and issued summon to the petitioner but the petitioner has not appeared for enquiry after receipt of the summon. Now CSR No.111 of 2025 is pending and they will complete the enquiry and dispose of the same within a week. The respondents 1 and 2 have not harassed the petitioner as alleged in the petition.

Since the prayer of the petitioner is not to harass the petitioner and the respondents also represented that they have not harassed the petitioner and they only for enquiry purpose called the petitioner but the petitioner has not appeared, recording the same, this Court dispose of this petition by directing 3/5

the second respondent to complete the enquiry within a period of one (1) week from the date of this order.

6. With the above said directions, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
