ORDER

Heard both sides.

2.It is not in dispute that the seventh respondent had been granted permission to quarry in Survey Nos.9/1, 9/2, 9/4 and 9/6 in Kallangudi Village. It is stated that it is only for implementing the road project. It is further stated that they are patta lands.

3.The petitioners allege that apart from the licensed sites, the seventh respondent is also quarrying in water bodies. This allegation is firmly denied by the seventh respondent.

4.The learned counsel appearing for the seventh respondent on instructions states that he has not carried out any kind of mining activity apart 3/6

from the permitted sites. If this submission turns out to be true, it is open to the petitioners to move this Court again for appropriate relief. 5.Recording the stand of the seventh respondent, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
