O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by D.KRISHNAKUMAR, J.,) This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed by the petitioner to produce the detenue, who claims to be her daughter. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. According to the petitioner, she is the mother of the detenue, Yogalakshmi, aged about 18 years. On 08.04.2018, due to the petitioner's heart ailment, she had taken sleeping pills and went for sleep. When the petitioner woke up, to her shock and surprise, she found that the detenue was missing and she was unable to trace the detenue. Therefore, the petitioner lodged a complaint before the second respondent Police in this regard. Since no effective steps were taken by the respondent Police to trace out the detenue, the petitioner has come up with the present Habeas Corpus Petition.

3. Today, when the Habeas Corpus Petition was taken up for consideration, the respondent Police produced the detenue. When we questioned the detenue, she has stated that on her own will and volition, she went along with one Rajesekar/ fourth respondent and married him on 02.05.2018. She has further stated that she is not in illegal custody and she also expressed her willingness to go along with her husband (i.e.,) the fourth respondent herein.

4. In view of the above, since the detenue is not in illegal custody and also as she is a major as of today, in our considered view, nothing survives for adjudication in the Habeas Corpus Petition.
