Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2.The petitioner is the defacto complainant in Crime No.4 of 2017 registered on the file of the Uthumalai Police Station, Tirunelveli District. The petitioner is an agriculturist. His motor pump was missing. As a result, he was put to difficulties. 3.The petitioner alleges that he is having dispute with an adjacent land owner. Even though a case was registered way back in January 2017, till date, the accused have not been arrested. The stolen articles have not been recovered and final report has not been filed. That has impelled the petitioner to file this petition for transfer of investigation.

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.5646 of 2020 4.I am of the view that interest of justice will be served by directing the jurisdictional Deputy Superintendent of Police to take over the investigation and file final report within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With this direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
