TO ENLARGE THE PETITIONER ON BAIL IN THE EVENT OF HIS ARREST IN WLOR NO.01/2024 ON THE FILE OF THE RESPONDENT POLICE AND PASS SUCH FURTHER OR OTHER ORDERS AS THIS HONBLE COURT. ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner/A4, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence under Sections 2, 9, 39, 50, 52, 57 and 51 of Wild Life 1/3

(Protection) Act, 1972, in W.L.O.R.No.01 of 2024, seeks anticipatory bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that on 01.02.2024 at about 01.00 a.m., based on the secret information, the respondent police searched the first accused's house and recovered 4 bags of Indian Gaur meat, one Assegai, Net and 2 knifes and arrested A1 and A2 and they confessed that A2 to A5 hunted Indian Gaur and the accused persons were cutting the meat and on seeing the respondent officials, escaped from the place. Hence, the case.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution and a false case has been foisted against him. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioners. 4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) submitted that apart from this case, the petitioner is having one previous case of similar in nature. However, he strongly opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners. 5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the fact that the Indian Gaur which is a rare animal available in the State of Tamil Nadu, that was killed by the petitioner for the purpose of meat and the similar case is pending against the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
