Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 20.03.2019 and accord planning permission and trade licence for the petitioner's LPG Gas Godown and showroom at S.No.847/3 at Pannaikadu village, Kodaikanal Taluk, Dindigul District. ORDER

Heard Mr.Raguvaran Gopalan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.Aayiram K.Selvakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondent.

2.The prayer in the writ petition is to issue a writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 20.03.2019 and accord planning permission and trade licence for the petitioner's LPG Gas Godown and showroom at S.No.847/3 at Pannaikadu village, Kodaikanal Taluk, Dindigul District.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would state that it would suffice if a direction is issued to the respondent to consider his representation.

4.The learned Additional Government Pleader would submit that the representation of the petitioner would be considered in accordance with law.

5.In the light of the limited scope of the prayer sought for in the writ petition and the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 20.03.2019 and pass orders purely on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
