Mr.M.Jeyakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents.

2. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

3. The writ petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents to give permission and protection to conduct "Jallikattu" scheduled to be held on 03.06.2018 at Vegukanmoi, Vegupatti Village, Ponnamaravathy Taluk, Pudukkottai District.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has given a representation to the respondents on 26.04.2018 for conduct of "Jallikattu", which is pending before them and therefore, the petitioner has come forward to file this Writ Petition.

5. Without going into the merits of the case, a direction is given to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.04.2018 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
