ORDER

It is an application seeking a direction to the respondents to give necessary police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner on the basis of her representation dated 29.08.2016. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the respondents. By consent, the Criminal Original Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is inclined to marry one Mr.P.Ilangovan, who is working as Assistant Professor in Periyar Maniammai University and the proposed marriage is on 05.09.2016. He would further submit that after elaborate arrangements having been made, the petitioner's father is not inclined to co-operate for the marriage and threatened that he would stop the marriage and hence, she has submitted a representation dated 29.08.2016 to the respondents seeking necessary Police protection on that day. response to the same, the petitioner has come up with this petition.

4.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the official respondents, on instructions, would submit that the second respondent would consider the representation of the petitioner dated 29.08.2016 and pass appropriate orders on merits. 5.In view of the above submission made by the learned Government Advocate, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 29.08.2016 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law forthwith as the marriage is scheduled to be held on 05.09.2016.
