ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.S.SUNDAR, J.) By consent, Writ Petition itself, is taken up for final disposal.

2.Mr.K.Chellapandian, learned Additional Advocate General assisted by Mr.S.Nagarajan, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for respondents 1 to 6.

3.This Writ petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, forbearing the respondents from conducting Jallikattu (Manju Virattu) on 10.05.2018 in the eve of Arulmighu Sri Sithanaswamy Temple festival at Karisalpatti Village, Singampunari Taluk, Sivagangai District by considering his objection filed on 30.04.2018.

4.Though this Writ petition is filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, the learned counsel for petitioner submitted that the petitioner will be satisfied if a direction is issued to the first respondent / District Collector, Sivagangai District to consider his objection dated 30.04.2018 for conducting Jallikattu (Manju Virattu) on 10.05.2018 in the eve of Arulmighu Sri Sithanaswamy Temple festival at Karisalpatti Village, Singampunari Taluk, 5.The case of the petitioner is that earlier, the organizers of festival has conducted the Jallikattu despite the fact that permission was refused by the Tahsildar concerned. 6.Having regard to the facts and circumstances of this case, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's objections, is inclined to direct the first respondent to consider the petitioner's objection dated 30.04.2018 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law on or before 07.05.2018.

7.This Writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected W.M.P.is closed.
