When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents drew my attention to the instruction given by the District Collector, Thanjavur District. In the said instruction, it has been mentioned as follows:- "Based on the enquiry reports, the petitioner is not eligible for getting compensation for the death of his father under Natural Calamity Relief Fund and the District Collector also recommended for Hon'ble Chief Minister Public Relief Fund to the dependents of Chinnaiyan under humanitarian grounds."
