ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to not to harass the petitioner in the guise of enquiry which is purely a civil dispute based on the representation of the petitioner, dated 02.03.2025.
2. According to the petitioner, there is a money dispute pending between the petitioner and one Alagar in respect of distribution of film. Thereby, the said Alagar lodged a complaint before the third respondent as against the petitioner. Taking advantage of the same, the third respondent frequently called the petitioner by interfering with the money dispute between the parties. Therefore, the petitioner sent a representation, dated 02.03.2025 and the same has not been considered by the respondents. Hence, the petitioner filed this petition.
3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents would submit that one Manager of Ambika Cinema lodged a complaint against this petitioner for the amount in respect of distribution of 2/5
film and they issued CSR No.776 of 2024 and the same is under enquiry. For enquiry purpose, they called the petitioner and apart from that, they have not harassed the petitioner as alleged by him. Therefore, this petition is liable to be dismissed.
4. Considering the limited scope of prayer sought for in this petition, the respondents also admitted the pending complaint as against the petitioner in respect of money, it is for the respondents to dispose of the complaint as well as the representation of the petitioner, dated 02.03.2025, within a period of one (1) week from the date of this order. It is needless to mention that if the matter is civil in nature, the respondents have to follow the circular issued by their higher authorities in this regard.
5. With the above said observations and directions, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
