Respondents Habeas Corpus Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to produce the person or body of Karthiga, W/o.Karthik Selvam, aged about 24 years, wife of the petitioner before this Court and set her at liberty.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by V.S.RAVI, J.) This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed alleging that the petitioner's wife, viz., Karthiga, aged about 24 years, has been illegally detained by the third respondent.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up, the petitioner is present. The detenue, viz., Ms.Karthiga, aged 24 years, is also present. Her father, namely, Shanmugavel, the third respondent herein and mother Ms.Vijayalakshmi are also present. The detenue has cleared asserted in open Court in the presence of her parents that she is willing to go with her husband, namely, the petitioner herein, as the marriage has been already solemnised between the detenue Karthiga and Karthigai Selvam on 20.06.2015 at Sellandiamman Temple in Puliamarathukottai in Oddanchathiram Taluk, Dindigul District. 3. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition is dismissed as infructuous, leaving it open for the detenue to decide about her future.
