ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of Mandamus, to direct the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 04.02.2019 and to send a fresh report to the second respondent for providing Freedom Fighter Pension to the petitioner within the time stipulated by this Court. 2.Heard S.Louis, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.S.Angappan, learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3.According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, seeking Freedom Fighter Pension, the petitioner sent many representations to the respondents. Pointing out certain discrepancies with regard to the Date of Birth, the third respondent rejected the request of the petitioner. The grievance of the petitioner is that after rectifying the discrepancies found in the documents, he submitted a representation to the respondents on 04.02.2019 along with all the required certificates. However, the same has not been considered so far. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition. 4.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the representation of the petitioner would be considered by the respondents on merits. 5.

In view of the above submission, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondent concerned to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 04.02.2019 seeking to provide Freedom Fighter Pension and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. 6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
