ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the writ petitioner. 2.It appears that Union Bank of India wants to wind up its operation at Thoothukudi. The petitioner is its customer. He is having his bank account with the fourth respondent. The petitioner has therefore filed this writ petition for directing the Union Bank of India to retain their operations either at the present place or in the vicinity.

3.The petitioner appears to be a loyal customer of the bank. But the Writ Court will not be justified in issuing any direction as sought for by the petitioner. These are commercial matters whether to run a branch at a given place or not is left to commercial wisdom of the concerned institution. 2/4
