The petitioner seeks issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to cancel the patta issued to the third and fourth respondents.

2.The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner's father's brother has purchased the property under registered sale deed dated 20.12.1986 and the petitioner has also been issued patta. However, patta has been wrongly issued to the respondents 3 and 4. Hence, the petitioner made a representation on 15.10.2024, seeking cancellation of the patta issued in the names of the third and fourth respondent.

3.Considering the limited relief sought for, it would suffice to dispose of, with a direction to the first respondent to pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 15.10.2024, in accordance with law and on merits, after affording an opportunity to the petitioner as well as respondents 3 and 4. The said exercise shall be carried out within a period of twelve [12] weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
