ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 04.02.2026 to rectify the error made in FMB and UDR, within time frame fixed to be by this Court.

2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that there exists a pathway in S.F.No.780, situated at Varavanai Post, Varavanai Village, Karur District, which has been used by the petitioner and other villagers for several decades. However, in the revenue records, the entire extent of the property has been wrongly reflected as belonging to "Karuppasamy Kovil." Seeking

rectification of the said error in the revenue records, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 04.02.2026. However, no action has been taken by the respondents till date. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the official respondents would submit that, in the present case, the District Revenue Officer, Karur District, is the competent authority to consider the grievance raised by the petitioner.

5. In view of the above, this Court suo motu impleads the District Revenue Officer, Karur District, as the fourth respondent in the present writ petition.

6. Considering the above submissions, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the petitioner to submit a representation along with all the necessary documents before the fourth respondent within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the event of submitting a fresh representation along with the necessary documents within the aforesaid time limit, the same shall be considered and disposed of by the fourth respondent on merits and in accordance

with law, after affording due opportunity to all the parties concerned, within a period of ten weeks thereafter. No costs.
