ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed praying to direct the respondents 1&2, to give adequate police protection to the petitioner, based on his complaint, dated 14.03.2017.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the learned Government Advocate (crl.side) appearing for Respondents 1&2 are present.

3. Heard both sides.

4. On perusal of the records would show that a complaint was given before the second respondent under 'Women Missing' in respect of the wife of the petitioner herein and latter on, the petitioner filed a petition in H.C.P.(MD)No.356 of 2017 and on 07.03.2017, this Court, directed the second respondent to secure the detenue and the said mater is posted for further hearing on 03.04.2017. In the meanwhile, the respondent No.4 herein are said to have contacted the petitioner over phone and threatened him to withdraw the above said Habeas Corpus Petition. Therefore, the petitioner has given a representation to the First and Second respondent on 14.03.2017, for giving police protection for his life and limb. Since, there is no action taken in the said representation, the petitioner has filed present application, seeking police protection for his life and limb.

5. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that the respondent will give police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner, after conducting an enquiry.

6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (crl.side), the second respondent Police is directed to enquire into the matter and to give necessary police protection to the petitioner.

7. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is ordered.
