ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/Accused, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 9, 39(1)(b), 39(1)(d), 50, 51, 57 r/w. 2(1), 2(2), 2(19), 2(16), 2(35) and 2(36) of Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972, in W.L.O.R.No.4 of 2026, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that, on 09.02.2026, the respondent received information that a half-burnt and buried animal was found in the petitioner's leased agricultural land. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent Police submitted that a half-burnt and buried animal was 2/5

found in the petitioner's leased agricultural land. Therefore, he opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. The allegation against the petitioner is that his watchman, who was guarding the land, hunted, burned, and buried the animal at the petitioner's instigation. The petitioner submitted that he is only the owner of the land and that the CCTV footage would reveal that he was not involved. It is not the case of the prosecution that the petitioner went to the spot and carried out the hunting. The allegation is that he instigated A-1 to hunt and bury the same. Considering the above facts, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
