PRAYER : Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 4th respondent to carry out necessary changes in revenue records for the properties assigned in favour of the petitioners in S.F.No.334/16,17 to 20 of Amburpatti Village, Viralimalai Taluk, Pudukottai District, within the reasonable time to be fixed by this court.

The petitioners seek for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 4th respondent to carry out necessary changes in revenue records for the properties assigned in favour of the petitioners in S.F.No.334/16,17 to 20 of Amburpatti Village, Viralaimalai Taluk, Pudukottai District.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. Without going into the merits of the case, a direction is issued the fourth respondent to verify the revenue and other records as to its classification, ownership, possession, enjoyment, rival claims, civil disputes etc., in respect of the property and conduct an enquiry, after affording opportunity of personal hearing to all the parties interested for the purpose of survey of the land and pass orders within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
