O R D E R

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a Mandamus directing the respondent to provide new water connection to petitioner's house situated in T.S.No.915/3A1 at Municipal Ward No.9, Raittanpatty Street, Srivilliputhur Municipal Town, Srivilliputhur Taluk, Virudhunagar District, by considering the petitioner's application dated 14.09.2015.

2. A perusal of the records reveal that the petitioner has made an application in the year 2015 and he has also paid a sum of Rs.5000/- as water connection charges. However, due to non availability of distribution in that locality, service connection was not provided.

3. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent submits that now the distribution has been started in the locality of the petitioner and on payment of the balance amount of Rs.7,000/- (Seven Thousand only), water service connection would be effected to the petitioner. 2/4

4. In view of the above said facts, on payment of the balance amount, the respondent is directed to effect water service connection within a period of four weeks on payment.

5. With the above said observation, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
