Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to transfer patta in the petitioner's name with respect to properties comprised in survey Nos.956/1 and 1158/2 situated at Koodankulam Village, Rathapuram Taluk, Tirunelveli District based on his representations dated 05.03.2019. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader on instructions submitted that the request for change of patta cannot be done.

2. When this was pointed out to the petitioner's counsel, the petitioner's counsel contended that there has been a mistake committed during UDR. If that be so, the petitioner's remedy is only before the District Revenue Officer. As and when the petitioner applied to the District Revenue Officer, the District Revenue Officer is directed to conclude the said exercise on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks, thereafter, after putting all the interested persons on notice. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
