O R D E R

This petition is filed seeking for a direction to the second respondent not to harass the petitioner and his family members.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) for respondent Nos.1 and 2 including learned counsel for the third respondent.

3. There are disputes between the parties in respect of the properties in Survey No.186/5B, situated at Thirukodikal Village, Thiruvidaimaruthur Taluk, Thanjavur District and a civil suit in O.S.No.6 of 2023 is also filed on the file of the learned District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Thiruvidaimaruthur.

4. Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submits that since the civil suit is pending and there are disputes between the parties pertaining to the landed properties, he would initiate enquiry and complete the investigation. Learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) has undertaken to complete the enquiry within a period of one (1) week and this Court directs the Police not to harass the petitioner as the dispute between the parties is purely civil in nature.
