To enlarge the petitioner on bail in the event of his arrest in WLOR No.01/2024 on the file of the Respondent.

ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 2, 9, 39, 50, 52, 57 and 51 of the Wild Life (Protection) Act, 1972 in WLOR.No.1 of 2024, seeks anticipatory bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner and other accused were in 1/3

illegal possession of "Indian Gaur Meat" along with deadly weapons. Hence, the case.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent Police would submit that already co-accused filed a petition for anticipatory bail and the same is dismissed by this Court. He would further submit that the petitioner and other accused were in illegal possession of meat of the Indian Gaur. Therefore, he strongly opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the seriousness of the offence committed by the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this criminal original petition is dismissed.
