PRAYER :- For Bail in Crime No. 21 of 2020 on the file of the respondent Police ORDER : The Court made the following order :- This petition has been filed by the petitioners/ accused seeking bail for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 111 (b) of Customs Act 1962 and Under Section 14 of Foreigners Act, 1946,3(a)r/w.6(a) of Passport Act (Entry into India) rules 1950.

2. According to the prosecution the petitioner along with few other Srilankan nationals have attempted to smuggle gold jewels from the Srilankan nationals. When the Srilankan Nations about to https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

CRL OP(MD). No.5287 of 2020 reach the sea shore with the contraband they were intercepted by the respondent police. Based on the information given by them, these petitioners who were Indian nationals awaiting in the Indian shore to received the contraband were arrested.

3. Considering the gravity of offence and the stage of investigation, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioners.

4.Hence this petition stands dismissed.
