ORDER
This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the Additional District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate Court, Manamadurai to dispose of C.C.No.64/2000 in Cr.No.132/1999 within stipulated time.
2.According to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, his case has been registered in Crime No.132 of 1999 under Section 379 IPC and subsequently, the same was taken on file in C.C.No.64 of 2000 on the file of the Additional District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate Court, Manamadurai. But the aforesaid case is pending for more than 18 years. Hence, he filed the present Criminal Original Petition with the aforesaid prayer. 3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent would submit that on a perusal of the B Diary, it is seen that the second accused was absconded and NBW was issued against the second and fourth accused. Thereafter, the second accused was produced and remand was extended till 02.03.2018. Subsequently, on 28.03.2018, he was released on bail.
4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case that the case is pending for more than 18 years, without going into the merits of the case, this Court is inclined to direct the learned https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
Additional District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Manamadurai, to dispose of the case in C.C.No.64 of 2000 as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if there is no other legal impediments.
5.This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above direction.
