ORDER : The Court made the following order :- This petition has been filed by the petitioner / A1, arrested on 03.03.2020, seeking bail for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 307 and 379 of I.P.C. read with 21(4) of Mines and Minerals Act, 1957, in Crime No.41 of 2020.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent.

3. When the police attempted to intercept a track carrying river sand, the driver tried to run over the police vehicle to avoid arrest. The occupants of the vehicle has ran away from the scene. The petitioner, who is the owner of the vehicle, was arrested for the offence Sections 307 and 379 of I.P.C. read with 21(4) of Mines and Minerals Act, 1957.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor has strongly opposed the grant of bail stating that there was an attempt to murder the police party by running over the vehicle, when, other occupants of the vehicle ran away from the scene, the owner of the vehicle was arrested on 03.03.2020.

5. This Court finds no merit in this petition. Hence, this Criminal Original petition stands dismissed.
