PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. praying to direct the 2nd respondent herein to register the complaint of the petitioner dated 16.04.2018, investigate into the same and file final report without any delay. For Petitioner : Mr.N.Marimuthu For Respondents : Mr.K.K.Ramakrishnan, Additional Public Prosecutor.

ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent herein to initiate action against the named accused in the complaint of the petitioner, dated 16.04.2018 and to give police protection to the life and property to the petitioner and his family members against unlawful elements. 2.According to the petitioner, the petitioner made a complaint before the respondent police against the proposed accused stating that the proposed accused has illegally trespassed into the property of the petitioner and attempted to cut and remove the standing trees thereon. On coming to know, the petitioner, immediately, rushed to his property and he was abused and threatened by the accused to vacate the property, otherwise, the accused will cause death of the petitioner and his family members. Hence, he lodged a complaint on 16.04.

2018 before the respondent. But, no action has been taken so far. Hence, the present criminal original petition has been filed with the aforesaid prayer. 3.In response to the aforesaid submission, on instructions, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioner, during enquiry, made a statement before the respondent police stating that he can approach the civil Court to seek his remedy.

4.In the light of the aforesaid submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this criminal original petition is closed.
