This petition is filed seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent police to register a case based on the complaint given by the petitioner dated 24.01.2018 and file final report without any delay.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) on instructions, would submit that since there was a family dispute between the parties, the compliant has to be referred to the Social Welfare Officer and after obtaining report, the respondent police will take further action in the above said complaint. Hence, he seeks two weeks time to forward the petitioner's complaint to the Social Welfare Officer from the date of receipt of the copy of this order. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. At this stage, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks liberty to approach this Court at a later stage, if necessary.

5. Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side), the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed with liberty to the petitioner to approach the appropriate forum to work out his remedy in the manner known to law.
