PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. praying to file final report in Crime No.587 of 2017 on the file of the respondent police within stipulated time fixed by this Court. ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to file a final report in Crime No.587 of 2017 on the file of the respondent police, within stipulated time fixed by this Court.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that a case has been registered in Crime No.587 of 2017 under Sections 147, 148, 447, 294(b), 324, 427 and 506(2) IPC and Section 3(1)(s), 3(1) (r) and 3(2)(va) of the SCH. Caste and the SCH Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Amendment Act, 2015. Thereafter, the respondent police did not take any steps to file a charge sheet, within the prescribed period of three months. Hence, the present criminal original petition has been filed with the aforesaid prayer. 3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent would submit that investigation is likely to be completed at the earliest. Therefore, he seeks three months time to file a final report before the concerned Magistrate Court. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 4.Recording the aforesaid submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Criminal Original Petition is

disposed of. However, the respondent is directed to file a final report before the concerned Magistrate Court, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
