ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the first respondent to number the revision petition preferred by the petitioner dated 23.10.2025, and to dispose of the same within a time frame as may be stipulated by this Court.

2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. Since no adverse orders are going to be passed against the fourth respondent, notice to the fourth respondent is hereby dispensed with.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner applied for restoration of Patta in his name. However, the same has been rejected by the second respondent vide proceedings dated 25.09.2025. Hence, the petitioner filed a revision petition before the first respondent on 23.10.2025, but the same has not yet been numbered or taken on file. It is further submitted that due to the inaction of the first respondent, the petitioner's revision

petition remains pending without progress, causing serious prejudice to the petitioner. Therefore, the petitioner seeks a direction to the first respondent to number the revision petition and to complete the enquiry proceedings thereon within a stipulated time in accordance with law.

The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 submits that the petitioner's revision petition dated 23.10.2025 will be considered and disposed of as early as possible, provided the revision papers are otherwise in order. It is further submitted that the first respondent will take appropriate action in accordance with law within a reasonable time.

Recording the aforesaid submission of the learned Special Government Pleader, this Court directs the first respondent to verify whether the petitioner's revision petition dated 23.10.2025 is otherwise in order and, if so, to number the revision petition and dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity to all the parties concerned, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
