PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the fourth respondent to issue patta in favour of the petitioner pertaining to the property situated in S.No.625/7A, M.Othapatti, Vellalore Village Kottanathampatti Post, Melur Taluk, Madurai District to the extent of 1 Acre 45 cents out of total extent of 3 acres 25 cents based on the petitioner's representation dated 27.02.2025. The petitioner seeks limited relief of a direction to the fourth respondent to pass orders on his representation dated 27.02.2025, for issuance of patta in his favour. 2.The writ petition is taken up for final disposal with the consent of the learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mrs.S.Jeyapriya, learned Government Advocate. 2/5

3.The petitioner based on his purchase and also on the strength of the decree passed by the competent Civil Court in O.S.No.322 of 2010, for permanent injunction in respect of a portion of the subject property has sought for patta to be issued in his favour and various other documents. The petitioner has sought for issuance of patta by making a representation on 27.02.2025. The grievance of the petitioner is that the said application has not been processed and therefore, the petitioner seeks issuance of Writ of Mandamus. 4.Considering the above, the Writ Petition is allowed, with a direction to the fourth respondent to conduct an enquiry in accordance with law and pass orders on the petitioner's representation on its own merits and on hearing the petitioner and any other interested parties,within a period of eight [8] weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order. There shall be no order as to costs.
