ORDER

By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. Mr.M.Karuppasamy, learned Government Advocate, takes notice for the respondents.

This writ petition has been filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the third respondent to permit the petitioner as well as to provide police protection to conduct the 77th Church Anniversary Festival in St.Thomas Church, Alambakkam Village, Lalgudi Taluk, Trichy District from 07.05.2018 to 09.05.2018.

3. The learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner, in this regard, has submitted a representation before the authorities on 20.04.2018, however, the same is yet to be considered. Since the festival is fast approaching, the petitioner is before this Court for the aforesaid relief. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

The learned Government Advocate, on instructions, would submit that for the very same festival, one V.Amalraj has already submitted a representation on 12.04.2018 and he has already filed a writ petition in W.P.(MD)No.8878 of 2018, wherein, this Court, by order dated 25.04.2018, has directed the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Lalgudi, Trichy / the second respondent herein, to pass orders on or before 04.05.2018 and the authorities are yet to pass orders on the representation submitted by the said Amalraj. In the meanwhile, the petitioner has submitted a fresh representation.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 20.04.2018 along with the representation submitted by the said Amalraj dated 12.04.2018 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, on or before 04.05.2018, as directed by this Court on 25.04.2018 in W.P.(MD)No.8878 of 2018.

6. With the above directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
