ORDER

Mr.S.Nagarajan, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents.

2. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that he filed an appeal before the second respondent which is pending in Na.Ka.B4/7883/2017, dated 01.12.2017. Even though five months have expired, there is no progress in respect of the enquiry in the above said matter.

4. I have considered the rival contentions.

5. Considering the submissions made by the learned Counsel for the petitioner, a direction is issued to the second respondent -

District Revenue Officer, Sivagangai District, to verify or cause to verify the revenue and other records, UDR and other records pertaining to the property in question as to its classification, ownership, possession, enjoyment, rival claims, civil disputes, entitlement, etc., and conduct an enquiry after giving notice to all the parties concerned and complete the same within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of as above. No costs.
