ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 294(b) and 307 of IPC, seek anticipatory bail.

2.Heard both sides.

3.According to the First Information Report, this petitioner along with other accused has picked quarrel with one Maruthupandian who was sitting in the grave yard. On the date of occurrence, the petitioner has caught hold the hands of Maruthupandian, the other accused/Karuppiah has stabbed him with knife. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

No.5323 of 2020 4.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner states that the victim has already been discharged from the hospital and this petitioner only tried to avert the quarrel between Karuppiah and Maruthupandian. However, in the First Information Report, he has been wrongly implicated.

5.On perusing the First Information Report, this Court finds that this petitioner along with Karuppiah has jointly attacked the victim. This petitioner has facilitated attack by holding the hands of the victim. Since the investigation is at nascent stage, granting anticipatory bail will tamper the investigation. 6.Hence, the Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. sd/- 14/05/2020 / TRUE COPY / / /2020 Sub-Assistant Registrar (C.S.)
