Chithambarathanu Pillai ..Respondents PRAYER : Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 5th respondent to give charge of the Principal of the 4th respondent College to the petitioner, whenever the Principal of the same is absent from it, including on 31.05.2019, when the Principal of the same is retiring from it on superannuation and appoint the petitioner as the Additional Chief Superintendent in University examinations in the 4th respondent College, including the University examinations, commencing on 29.04.2019.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has circulated a letter to the Registry, seeking permission of this Court to withdraw this Writ Petition and hence, the matter is posted today under the caption "for withdrawal". The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner seeks permission of this Court to withdraw this Writ Petition and he has also made an endorsement to that effect.

2. In the meantime, the learned counsel appearing for the 7th respondent submitted that the connected Writ Petition in WP(MD). No.8724 of 2019, is pending before this Court and hence, both the cases to be taken up together for hearing. The above said objection is recorded.

3. In view of the endorsement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, without prejudice to the rights of the 7th respondent pending in WP(MD).No. 8724 of 2019, this Writ Petition is dismissed as withdrawn. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
