PRAYER :- The Bail in crime no.21 of 2020 on the file of the respondent police ORDER : The Court made the following order :- This petition has been filed by the petitioners/ accused seeking bail for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 111(b) of Customs Act 1962 and Under Section 14 of Foreigners Act, 1946,3(a)r/w.6(a) of Passport Act (Entry into India) rules 1950.

2. The Coast Guard have intercepted Srilankan national vessel which has crossed the Indian Border and on interrogation they found https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

CRL OP(MD). No.5337 of 2020 three Srilankan nationals carrying gold and GSP equipments in connivance with four Indian nationals, have tried to smuggle gold . The petitioners herein are Srilankan nationals. The respondent police is yet to complete the investigation.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor strongly opposed to grant bail to the petitioners whereas the learned counsel for the petitioners states that the petitioner are ready to furnish required surety and abide by any conditions imposed by this Court.

4. The nature of offence indicates cross border smuggling of contraband and the investigation is yet to be completed. Since the matter involves foreigners grant of bail is not appropriate during investigation stage 5.Hence this petition stands dismissed.
