Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to settle death cum retirement gratuity (DCRG) amount of Rs.2,00,000/- (Two lakhs only) and allow monthly pension of Rs.10,500/- (Ten thousand five hundred only) in the light of G.O (D) No.191 (Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries Department) (AH1) dated 16.05.2018 with accrued interest for belated payments with effect from the date of above Government order. By consent of both sides, the writ petition itself is taken up for final hearing.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents 1 and 2 and the learned counsel for the third respondent.

3.This writ petition has been filed for a mandamus to direct the respondents to settle death cum retirement gratuity (DCRG) amount of Rs.2,00,000/- (Two lakhs only) and allow monthly pension of Rs.10,500/- (Ten thousand five hundred only) in the light of G.O (D) No.191 (Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries Department) (AH1) dated 16.05.2018 with accrued interest for belated payments with effect from the date of above Government order. 4.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 to 4, by producing a copy of the order passed by the Deputy Director, who forwarded the same to the Director, would submit that the proposal has already been forwarded to the Director and the proposal is under consideration and it will be considered.

5. In view of the submission made, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to pass orders on the proposal, if any received from the Deputy Director, Dairy Development, Tirunelveli, to settle the death cum retirement gratuity. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
