Heard the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 and 2.

3. Considering the nature of relief to be granted, issuance of notice to the third respondent is dispensed with.

4. The only request made by the petitioner is that he should be allowed to participate in the petition mentioned festival. The petitioner is not seeking conferment of any honour or respect. Right to worship is a guaranteed fundamental right. Therefore, the third respondent will not prevent the petitioner from offering his worship like any other devotee in a manner that is consistent with customary norms. I consciously refrain from conferring the status of Poojari. This writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
