ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioners, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent for the offences punishable under Sections 8(c), 20(b)(ii)(C) and 25 of NDPS Act, 1/4

in Crime No.1 of 2026, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on 20.01.2026, at about 10.30 a.m., on secret information, the respondent police officials went to the scene of occurrence, where they found the petitioners are in illegal possession of 4 bags of Ganja weighing about 110 kgs. Hence, the case.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are innocent and they were falsely implicated in this case and they are in no way connected in the above said incident. They have not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. Hence, he prays to grant Anticipatory Bail to the petitioners.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submits that the offences are grave in nature. The quantity of contraband involved in this case is commercial quantity. Hence, he vehemently opposed the grant of bail to the petitioners. Investigating is still pending. There is no previous case against the petitioners.

5. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record. 2/4

6.Considering the rival submissions on either side, considering that the quantity involved is commercial quantity, investigation is in initial stage, this Court is declined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners, at this stage. 7.Accordingly, this criminal original petition stands dismissed.
