Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of habeas corpus to call for the detention order dated 24.2.2021, made in C.O.C.No.05 of 2021, on the file of the second respondent and to quash the same and consequently to direct the respondents to produce the Petitioner's son namely, ''Appas @ Arunraj, son of Murugan, aged about 25 years, who is now detained as a detenue at Central Prison, Tiruchirappalli or his corpus or body before this Court and set him at liberty forthwith. O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by K.KALYANASUNDARAM, J.] This habeas corpus petition has been filed by the mother of the detenu, namely, Appas @ Arunraj, son of Murugan, aged about 25 years,challenging the detention order in in C.O.C.No.05 of 2021, dated 24.02.2021 passed by the second respondent, branding him as "Sexual Offender " as contemplated under Section 2(ggg) of Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents/State, by producing a copy of G.O.Rt.No.1836, Home, Prohibition & Excise (XV) Department, dated 19.04.2021, would state that the impugned detention order has been revoked.

3. Recording the above said submission, the habeas corpus petition is closed.
