For Respondent : Mr.S.Chandra Sekar, Additional Public Prosecutor PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec.438 of Cr.P.C PRAYER :- For Anticipatory Bail in Crime No.630 of 2020 on the file of the respondent police ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioners, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 379 IPC and Section 21(4) of the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957 in Crime No.630 of 2020, seek anticipatory bail.

CRL OP(MD). No.5371 of 2020 interception, the accused persons fled away from the scene of occurrence. The vehicle along with the river sand has been seized. On investigation, the prosecution came to know that the petitioners are the driver and owner of the vehicle respectively. Hence, he opposed to grand anticipatory bail to the petitioners. 4.Since they have indulged in illicit mining of the river sand during the lock down period and fled away from the scene of occurrence, abandoning the vehicle and contraband, this Court is of the opinion that if anticipatory bail is granted to the petitioners, they will not co-operate with the investigation.
