This writ petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to take appropriate action against respondents 3 to 8 based on the petitioner's complaint in CSR No. 0052/2026 dated 19.02.2026.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that there was a dispute regarding a pathway, therefore, the private respondents assaulted the petitioner, caused injuries, and also damaged the property.
3. The learned counsel appearing for respondents 3 to 8 submitted that it is purely a civil dispute. However, it is seen that when an assault arises out of a property dispute, criminal action ought to be taken.
