Respondents in both petitions COMMON PRAYER: Writ Petitions are filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing respondents 1 to 4 to pass appropriate orders to cut and remove the fell down 275 Rubber trees and 75 Teak Wood Trees including the issuance of Transit pass to the petitioners from their lands in New Sy.No.428 of Kalkulam Revenue Village, Kalkulam Taluk, Kanyakumari District, by considering their representations dated 09.02.2019 and 25.06.2018 within a time frame fixed by this Court. (in both W.Ps.) For Petitioners : Mr.K.P.Krishnadoss For Respondents : Mr.M.Rajarajan, Government Advocate.

2. All that the petitioners want is permission to cut and remove the trees said to have fallen due to "Ockhi" cyclone on the petition mentioned lands. The petitioners have given representations in this regard. The second respondent is the authority competent to consider the said request. Therefore, the second respondent is directed to consider the petitioners' representations on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. The Writ petitions stand disposed of, accordingly. No costs.
