The Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of mandamus, seeking a direction to the respondents to re-issue the birth certificate, relating to the children of the petitioner, viz., Kamali and Vasanthakumar by correcting their father's name as C. Varatharajan instead of Muthu. 2.These are the facts which are exclusive to the knowledge of the petitioner. The respondents may examine the representation given by the petitioner, determine whether both names relate to the same person and direct the petitioner to produce documents relating to show that both C. Varatharajan and Muthu are the two names of the same individual and also examine the father of the two children and any other document showing that C. Varatharajan and Muthu are the same person, particularly, School documents and other documents and then take a considered decision, within a period of 12 weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4
